Rainbows-something I see almost every week

In Hawaii you will see rainbows-A LOT. They are very beautiful especially when they go into trees, as it looks. I don't know why we get them so much. Your just driving and you see a rainbow. This rainbow was after a big storm in Ewa Beach.

The German Shepherd

A military dog in training.

Looks like this guy is doing his job.

A Geman Shepherd Puppy.

The German Shepherd dog belongs in the working group. It is a great guard dog and a perfect companion. They are very strong and well proportioned. Their ears are pointed straight up,but as puppies the ears may be a little floppy. They have long bushy tails. The breed has three types of coats; rough-coated, long-haired, and long rough coated. The colors are usually black and tan, sable,or all black.White color is a fault at the dog show and these white shepherds are known as the American White Shepherd. These dogs are fearless and always alert, but at the same time obedient and happy.German Sheperds love their families, but may be aware of strangers. For this reason, they need a family that will be with them a lot. They usually only bark when they feel danger is near. They are often used as police dogs. As with all dogs, they should be correctly socialized in puppy hood. Attacks and aggression are usually due to poor handling and training. You HAVE to be the dominant one when you have a German Shepherd. They are known to be good with other pets and children. They are energetic and need daily exercise. Males get 24-26 inches in height.Females 22-24 inches in height. Both genders weigh about 77-85 pounds. 13 years is the life expectancy.

The Rescue

This poem is found@ http://www.scarshelter.com/

Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels.I felt her need instantly and new I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not to exuberantly,so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage.I didn't want her to know that I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get to busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them. As she read my kennel card I hoped she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in some one's life. She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the kennel to comfort her. gentle fingertips caressed the side of my neck, she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well. Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms. I would promise to keep her safe. I would promise to always be by her side. I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes.I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked out of their kennels. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one. I rescued a human today!!

Mustache Night

Sorry that this picture is blurry. I don't know why it is. This is B before he got his uni-brow.

B with his mustache and unibrow.

The "pussy cat" mustache as the boys call it.

A fluffy one.

Hey whats up?

My brother B wants a mustache so bad. So,we gave him one. Of course E wanted one too just like his big brother. They look funny with a mustache especially, E. Mom, Dad,and I were out of breath laughing so hard. B wanted to keep his mustache.

Roxy girl yawns a lot. I always get a snapshot of her when she does this. It is funny when I look back at the picture. I thought I would share some of these pictures. She is a funny dog.

Buttercup

Buttercup is my Cockatiel. She is a fun little bird. She loves to come out and just sit on my shoulder. She is very lovable. She doesn't know how to talk, but that is the way some female birds are. She says "tweet". B and I bought her with our own money when we first moved to HI. She is my first bird and I have had a great time with her. I never knew a bird could be so much fun.

No Fur Please!!!!!

Did you know that up to 15 beavers, 25 foxes, 35 raccoons, 40 minks, or 50 muskrats are killed to make just one fur coat!!!!!
Beavers are close to endangerment or extinction because of this cruelty. Beavers help people by building their dams to stop erosion. People put traps in the water and then when they come out of their dams, where they live, they drown and are then used to make clothes.
Some animals, such as domestic dogs and cats, are killed for their pelts in China. They knock their heads on the concrete and are killed to make collars and trim, toys, glove linings, and sometimes cat toys. Two 2 million cats and dogs are killed for fur every year. That is a lot of animals. So ask your store if their clothes are made out of fur. If they say yes, DON'T buy their products.
Help these animals who didn't do anything to be able to live a happy life.
Thanks!!!!
